Position Summary

We’re hiring a Data Analyst to join the Marketing Insights & Analytics team in the Marketing organization in New York.

What users should we be targeting in marketing? How can we reach more of those users? How do we optimize the marketing message to achieve optimal performance? What is the value of those users and how do we get more value from them? Where do additional opportunities for growth exist?

These are just some of the questions that a Data Analyst on the marketing team will answer. The ideal candidate should be highly analytical and have a strong technical skill-set, with experience in a data extraction language (such as SQL) and statistical analysis tools (such as R or Python).

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze data, identify trends, implement optimizations on a day to day basis across multiple digital channels, including paid search/social, display, mobile, and email marketing
  • Ensure marketing campaign funnels and customer behavior flows are tagged and tracked accurately for reporting and analysis purposes
  • Support campaign managers and email marketing team on SQL and data needs
  • Develop recommendations for changes to investment and marketing strategy, optimize the efficacy of marketing spend based on quantitative analyses
  • Execute accurate test design and evaluation – including sampling techniques and determining statistical significance (chi-square, t-test, ANOVA, correlation, etc).
  • Analyze sales funnel and customer segments


  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • 2+ years experience within data analytics
  • Proficiency in query language such as SQL or equivalent
  • Experience working with various digital advertising platforms, including but not limited to AdWords, Facebook, Google Analytics
  • Experience with A/B and statistical significance techniques such as t-test, ANOVA, correlation, or others
  • Experience in reporting on customer insights and LTV analysis
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver against aggressive deadlines
  • Working knowledge of ad trafficking/ad serving platforms including but not limited to Doubleclick etc.
  • Master Degree in Statistics, Marketing Analytics, or other Quantitative fields is highly preferable
